Just getting home from the Hospital. In my opinion Jeffrey has had a good, peaceful day. He's still running a fever, which isn't unusual after surgery. His leg is bruised and swollen, but hey, he's got a broken femor. His arm was set ye...sterday, all is well with that. Now it's just getting him weaned off the oxygen and ventilator pressure. He is breathing on his own, with a little pressure and oxygen to help him get them full, deep breaths. (Have I got that right Debby?) Debby has been our eyes and ears this week. She has the medical experience, being an RN, to help us know what is going on, and to help us understand things. She's been our "on call" nurse all week, calling the hospital in the morning and evening to get a status on Jeffrey, straight from his nurse. God Know's I couldn't have told her anything, as they tell me and I forget almost instantly. IF I understood them right they are going to try to start weaning him off of the vent this weekend. Then finally the meds will start wearing off, and he can start coming around a little. When Jeff visited him tonight, he SWORE he saw him, "flutter his eyes". I can't say, I wasn't in there at the time. But when I told mama this, she said daddy had also seen it, today or yesterday.
Tonight is the one week mark. Jeffrey had guardian angels in place watching over him that night, and he still continues to have them watching over him now. Prayer works, because that is what has brought us and him that far. I am anxious to see what God has in store for him, because he spared his life for some reason.
I'm TIRED!! And I just wanted to touch base with everyone.
I love you all for anything and everything that you each have done. No how matter small, nothing has gone unnoticed!
