Many praises have gone up today. Yesterday Jeffrey was moved to an intermediate room. Over the last 24 hours, he has progressed more and more. He is recieved NO IV meds, only the ones that are scheduled through needle or IV port.

Last ev...ening, I noticed him sweating profusely, and asked him was he in pain, and he responded with a thumbs up. So he got some meds. Well this morning, when I came in he again was sweating profusely, so I asked him again. He said he was. Instead of relying on just I'm hurting. I asked him WHERE? As I went from head to toe. I missed the one key piece of evidence. After I finished going over head, arm leg...etc....he rubbed his "tummy"....So the meds for his UTI hurt his stomach a little, but PRAISE THE LORD, he was able to tell me. He even had the capabilities to point to the door to tell me to basically "get out"...which I did. He needed "private time"....But hey...don't we all?

Jeff called earlier in the morning, and asked how he was doing, and I said, Here, why don't you ask him yourself. So...I put the phone to his ear.....He began to weep. But hey...this was basically the first time he had heard his daddy's voice in 2 weeks...clearly....

Then later Jonathon did the same thing. Called to see how he was...I told jonathon, well, why don't you ask him yourself. When I proceeded to give him the phone, he took it out of my hand and put it to his ear.....listening intently....

The girls came by this afternoon, and he gave them the thumbs up, when they told him they loved him...and he waved good bye to mema and beba....

Then when Kevin came to see him, he was "signing" something to him...and Kevin said he honestly think he was giving him the sign for when they say aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg............and it did look like it.....

He stayed off the vent for 5 1/2 hours today....

The highlight of MY day was this AM, when the nurse and a student nurse were in the room, and I had his computer out, and the nurse saw the ECU sticker, and asked did he like the pirates...I was VERY dramatic, as in saying, NO YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING, JEFFREY? LIKE ECU? NO, HE DOESN'T LIKE THEM, HE LOVES THEM!!! YOU WANNA SEE? So I shared his pictures of him, and he GRINNED REAL BIG!!!! I also started "reading" some responses on his facebook page to him, because he said "with his thumbs up" that he wanted to hear some...I started reading, and he again got emotional...Boy that boy has his mama and mema and beba's and sharons heart...look wrong at us, and we cry....

More later. Ya'll have a wonderful UNSNOWY saturday I hope. I just want to be able to get to the hospital......

Also, Joanie Taylor, I saw your brother last night, and he said to tell his sister hello!!! He was making rounds to someone on Jeffrey's floor, and Sharon spied him out!

Thanks Bobby Krofchick for the quick visit today. I love my facebook friends and family!!!! Isn't it just great, 2 years ago, most of you would of had no idea any of this was going on in my life.
